About Us

Arthouse Design was created out of beauty, style and balance and a desire to share that with each individual bride.

Creating a bouquet that is expressive of your imagination is our passion. Organic style and unique design is born when the vision of a our bride is expressed through a wedding ambiance tailored just for her.  The process begins with a vision cast. Here we sketch the foundation of your wedding inspiration: color, texture, light,  and floral palate.

We create a blue print which connects each design element, invitation, linens, cake and party flow, resulting in a floral and decor plan that brings elegance out of continuity.

How To Choose The Perfect Color Palette For Your Wedding

Find Matching Colors

The cornerstone of any beautiful wedding color palette is finding colors that complement each other. Use the color wheel as an effective tool in this case, which affords one with information about relationships between colors. Analogous colors such as blue and green marry with one another since they are close to the wheel and are aligned.

Match With The Season

Weather condition is the first determiner of your wedding color palette. It could vary every season meaning there is a unique color scheme that may be chosen to create similar wedding themes. Soft pastels like blush pink, lavender, and mint green complement the blooming flowers and fresh atmosphere as well.

Adapt to the Trends

Stay on-trend by reading wedding blogs, browsing Pinterest boards, and flipping through bridal magazines. Your colors should be what speaks to your vision rather than being determined solely by what is fashionable. Tasteful uses of trendy elements—such as in your table linens or floral arrangements—can update your palette without overwhelming your style.

Avoiding Color Clashes

Nothing detracts from a wedding's beauty like clashing colors. Avoid it by keeping the color palette within three or four shades. Find a dominant color, and accede it to few secondary shades. A perfect classic example of it will be: a base of navy color paired with blush and gold to be adorned for a classic elegance look.

Tips For Creating A Cohesive Event Look

Choose A Consistent Theme

Consistency in a cohesive event starts from the theme. Regardless of whether the event is for a wedding, corporate gathering, or birthday, the theme decides everything else in detail. Based on the intention and taste of the host or even the guests who will attend the event, different events will come out with specific themes.

Align Lighting

For a romantic event, soft, warm lighting such as string lights, candles, or lanterns creates a cozy atmosphere. For a high-energy party, vibrant LED lights or colorful spotlights can enhance the ambiance. Use lighting to focus on key areas, such as the stage, dining tables, or photo backdrops. Make sure the brightness is comfortable for your guests.

Find Matching Invitations

Invitations set the first sight of the guest to the occasion, so they should speak to the entire theme and color scheme. The designs, font, and even materials should be chosen within the aesthetic guidelines. For an elegant event, calligraphy can be used for formal invitations along with high-grade paper.

Hiring A Designer

If creating a cohesive event look feels overwhelming, consider hiring a seasoned designer. A designer will also help you keep within budget while ensuring everything comes together so seamlessly. They often have exclusive access to resources, so they might just provide ideas you wouldn't dream up yourself. Their professional touch guarantees that the event has a look.

The Role Of Lighting In Event Design

Highlighting Specific Areas

Strategic lighting can draw attention to focal points, like a stage, podium, or centerpiece. Highlighting specific zones also guides the audience's attention, creating a seamless flow and ensuring no important element goes unnoticed. A marriage can benefit from soft lights surrounding the couple’s seating area while a corporate event may need bright lights surrounding a presentation screen.

Using Colored Lighting

Colored lighting is an effective tool for giving an event personality and theme. Warm hues such as red and orange bring warmth and excitement, while cool tones such as blue and green bring a sense of calmness and sophistication. Since LED lighting is programmable, it can be changed during an event, hence adding dynamism to the event.

Spotlighting Tables

The use of spotlighting tables ensures that the guests can easily interact with each other while drawing attention to the decor. It is applied to point out the intricacy of the table settings, floral arrangements, or custom centerpieces. Adjustable lighting fixtures are ideal for this purpose as they can provide direct illumination without being too harsh.

Find Proper Illumination

Too dim, and the event might feel uninviting or impractical; too bright, and it risks losing ambiance as well as creating discomfort. For indoor events, combining ambient lighting with task lighting ensures optimal brightness. Outdoor events benefit from string lights, lanterns, or floodlights for proper visibility while maintaining charm.

Avoid Overexposure

Overexposure can kill the ambiance of the event and make guests uncomfortable. Harsh lighting can wash out all the décor details, or make people feel they are under a spotlight. With soft bulbs or frosted fixtures, diffused light maintains the ambiance of coziness as well as flattery.

Find Cost-effective Lighting

Energy-saving light sources such as LED lights can create visually stunning effects without necessarily placing a high burden on the electricity bill. The engaging of equipment and accessing professional lighting designers can also save money on a glossy finish. Multi-purpose fixtures often make for very cost-effective solutions: they aim to solve a couple of problems at once.
